JOB PURPOSE

As Internal Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will build and maintain a continual pipeline of high-quality talent for Penta Consulting, with sales profiles as the key priority alongside recruitment for other internal roles as required. You will proactively identify, engage and attract people who can support the company’s growth and culture.

The role will focus on direct sourcing and relationship-building across local industry sectors, competitor recruitment organisations, professional networks and community talent pools. Working closely with hiring managers, you will translate workforce requirements into targeted attraction activity, deliver an effective candidate experience and create measurable pipelines for current and future vacancies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As Internal Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will own proactive internal talent attraction and support an efficient, professional recruitment process. Your key duties will include:

  • Build and continuously develop a strong pipeline of sales talent, aligned to current and forecast hiring requirements.
  • Manage recruitment for other internal vacancies as required, adapting sourcing plans to the needs of each role and department.
  • Subject to prior agreement, engage appropriate external recruitment partners for selected vacancies, ensuring they receive clear briefs and deliver suitable candidates in line with agreed requirements.
  • Map local industry sectors and competitor recruitment organisations to identify relevant, high-performing talent.
  • Use direct sourcing, networking, referrals, social media, job boards, events and community outreach to engage active and passive candidates.
  • Develop long-term relationships with prospective candidates, maintaining regular and relevant contact to support future hiring needs.
  • Partner with HR & hiring managers to clarify role requirements, candidate profiles, priorities, timelines and selection criteria.
  • Create clear and engaging vacancy content and targeted attraction campaigns that reflect Penta Consulting’s employer proposition and culture.
  • Screen and assess candidates through structured conversations, providing evidence-based shortlists and clear recommendations.
  • Coordinate interviews, feedback, offers and pre-employment activity, ensuring a responsive and professional candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and pipeline data within company systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and internal processes.
  • Track and report sourcing activity, pipeline strength, conversion rates, time to hire and source effectiveness, using insight to improve outcomes.
  • Support employer-brand activity and represent Penta Consulting positively within local talent markets and professional networks.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Proven recruitment experience, gained in an agency, in-house talent acquisition or comparable recruitment environment.
  • Demonstrable success in proactively sourcing and engaging sales or recruitment professionals, including passive candidates.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end recruitment processes, including briefing, sourcing, screening, selection, offer management and candidate care.
  • Confident use of LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking and database search techniques to create sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the credibility to advise hiring managers and engage candidates at all levels.
  • Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies, pipeline activity and competing priorities.
  • Experience maintaining accurate recruitment data and working in line with data-protection and equality requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience recruiting within the staffing, recruitment, technology, professional services or other locally relevant sectors.
  • An established local network across sales, recruitment or related commercial talent communities.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system or CRM and producing recruitment pipeline reports.
  • Understanding of employer branding, talent marketing and inclusive recruitment practices.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant recruitment, HR or talent-acquisition qualification is advantageous but not essential; substantial practical recruitment experience will be recognised.
  • Evidence of continued professional development in recruitment, sourcing, employment practice or candidate assessment would be beneficial.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • A proactive talent hunter who enjoys identifying and engaging people before a vacancy arises.
  • Commercially aware and able to recognise the qualities that drive success in sales and recruitment roles.
  • Confident, credible and personable, with the ability to build trusted relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Persistent and resourceful, using varied sourcing approaches to reach talent that is not actively job seeking.
  • Highly organised and responsive, providing a consistent candidate experience while managing changing priorities.
  • Data-aware and outcome-focused, using pipeline and conversion measures to improve recruitment activity.
  • Collaborative and discreet, with sound judgement when handling confidential information and sensitive recruitment matters.
  • A positive ambassador for Penta Consulting who can communicate the company’s opportunities, values and culture authentically.
