About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced MicroStrategy Consultant with 8+ years of hands-on experience to join a large-scale Data & Analytics programme delivered by Teradata within the Telecommunications sector.

This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimising enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through scalable analytics, dashboarding, and reporting capabilities.

The successful candidate will possess strong expertise across MicroStrategy, Teradata, SQL, and enterprise data warehousing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, dossiers, and analytics solutions.
• Gather, analyse, and document business and reporting requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and business intelligence solutions.
• Develop executive dashboards, operational reports, KPI scorecards, and analytical applications.
• Build and optimise Intelligent Cubes, metrics, attributes, prompts, filters, and reporting objects.
• Work extensively with Teradata Data Warehouse environments to support reporting and analytical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with data engineering, architecture, and business teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Optimise reporting performance and troubleshoot data, reporting, and platform-related issues.
• Participate in solution design workshops, testing activities, deployment, and post-production support.
• Ensure adherence to BI governance, security standards, and reporting best practices.
• Provide recommendations on reporting strategy, performance improvements, and platform optimisation.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience working with MicroStrategy technologies within enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • MicroStrategy Architecture

  • Reporting
  • Dashboards
  • Dossiers
  • Administration
• Proven experience working within Teradata Data Warehouse environments.
• Advanced SQL development, data analysis, and query optimisation skills.
• Strong understanding of:

  • Data Warehousing

  • Dimensional Modelling
  • BI Architecture Principles
• Experience delivering large-scale Business Intelligence and Analytics projects.
• Ability to engage directly with business stakeholders and convert requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working within complex enterprise and customer-facing environments.

Preferred Experience

• Telecommunications industry experience is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale reporting and analytics programmes.
• Exposure to data governance, reporting standards, and BI best practices.
• Previous consulting experience would be advantageous.
• Relevant MicroStrategy certifications are beneficial.
