The Supply Chain Operations Manager is the in-country operational lead and the face of Supply Chain for assigned projects in Romania and Eastern Europe.


The role owns local Supply Chain execution from project handover through final delivery, acting as the primary interface between customers, Project Management, Planning, Logistics and Trade Compliance to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Customer & Project Leadership
• Act as the primary Supply Chain representative for assigned projects.
• Own end-to-end operational Supply Chain execution from project handover through final delivery.
• Act as the primary Supply Chain interface for Customers and Project Managers.
• Lead regular execution reviews with Project Management and participate in customer meetings as required.
• Provide proactive communication on delivery status, execution risks and recovery actions.
• Own project execution governance at country level.
• Represent Supply Chain in customer meetings, project reviews and site visits as required.

Logistics Execution
• Own local logistics execution, coordinating Planning, Logistics, Suppliers and Project teams.
• Prioritize truck movements and last-mile deliveries according to project priorities.
• Coordinate warehouses, freight forwarders, local carriers and ports.
• Ensure logistics execution complies with contractual delivery requirements and agreed Incoterms.

Customs & Trade Compliance Coordination
• Own local coordination of day-to-day customs execution in accordance with Trade Compliance requirements.
• Coordinate customs brokers and monitor clearance status, holds, missing documentation and delivery-impacting issues.
• Ensure customs documentation packages are complete, accurate and ready for submission in accordance with Trace Compliance requirements.
• Maintain customs tracking and KPI reporting.
• Escalate compliance matters to the EMEA Trade Compliance Manager.

Cross-functional Coordination
• Act as the local integrator across Planning, Delivery Management, Logistics, Trade Compliance, Customs Brokers, Project Management and external logistics providers.
• Drive alignment across all stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate execution priorities across all Supply Chain functions.
• Drive accountability across all functions until project issues are fully resolved.
• Ensure execution risks are proactively communicated and mitigated.

Execution & Recovery
• Own daily execution priorities across assigned projects.
• Lead recovery plans whenever customer commitments are at risk.
• Drive bottleneck resolution and first-level operational escalations.
• Track action completion and drive cross-functional accountability until issues are fully resolved.
• Monitor execution KPIs and drive corrective actions to improve delivery performance
• Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency and customer experience.
• Support implementation of process improvements across Planning, Logistics and Trade Compliance.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Operations or related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Project Delivery, Logistics or EPC execution.
• Strong experience supporting construction projects, EPC, infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience with supply chain execution, delivery management, and cross-functional project coordination.
• Working knowledge of steel supply chains, fabrication, logistics, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes including planning, sourcing, logistics, and site delivery.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
• Experience working with global teams across multiple geographies and cultures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly at both operational and executive levels.
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy while aligning closely with global leadership.


Preferred Skills & Tools
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Experience with planning and ERP tools such as Anaplan, NetSuite, PowerBI, or similar systems.
• Experience working with suppliers as well as with logistics providers, customs brokers and trucking companies in Romania and regionally.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
